Nicholson DansArts of Colonie welcomes you.

By keeping our classes small, we are able to provide personalized, professional instruction
in a warm, family-like environment. This environment allows our student to bond and
develop what often become life long friendships.

Additionally, our noncompetitive approach to dance education develops attributes
that can serve the child well throughout their lifetime. These include discipline, self-respect
and self-confidence; improved learning skills; creativity, self-expression, imagination;
and an instilled appreciation for music, dance and other art forms.

By emphasizing strong dance technique, Nicholson DansArts is designed to take a
child from the earliest years of dance training through the teenage years.

Because our faculty is carefully selected to exemplify our philosophy, our
teachers are dance professionals chosen for their knowledge and
expertise. Our instructors possess a variety of backgrounds and
performance experience, including hip hop, jazz, lyrical, tap, modern, musical
theatre, cheer, ballet, pointe and gymnastics. Many of our instructors have
performed on stage themselves in addition to choreographing dance pieces and
musical productions in various settings and for various ages. Our class sizes
are limited so that we can provide a low teacher-to-student ratio in
order to ensure that each student has the best possible learning
experience.

Our new studio (opened in January, 2009), features sprung
wooden floors, gymnastic and tumbling equipment, permanent
ballet barres, floor-to-ceiling mirrors and ample parking.
